Randall Norman Woods, Sr., age 77, of Swainsboro, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2026, at his residence. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 28, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Morris Brantley officiating. Interment will be in Old Bethel Church cemetery. Family received friends Tuesday, October 27, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Mitchell Henry, Keith Wright, Josh Williams, Wayne Crawford, David O’Quinn and Chris Jukes.

Randall was born December 2, 1948, in Swainsboro, to the late Thomas Hoyt Woods and Mary Margaret Kersey Woods. He dedicated 18 years of his life to serving with the Swainsboro Police Department. Outside of his work, Randall enjoyed the simple things in life, including hunting, fishing, and spending time at the racetrack racing cars as No. 33. He loved a good cup of coffee and could often be found enjoying one. Above all, Randall loved his family, especially his grandsons, who held a special place in his heart. He will be remembered for the time he spent serving his community, the things he enjoyed most, and the love he had for his family. Mr. Woods is preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Yvonne Johnson Woods.

Survivors include his daughter, Vera M. Woods Williams (Richard); son, Randall N. Woods, Jr. (Tracy); grandsons, Lake Woods and Landon Woods, all of Swainsboro; brothers, Thomas Woods (Judy) of Kite and Clark Woods (Patty) of Swainsboro; sisters, Carolyn Stevens (Glynn) of Swainsboro and Kay Ratchford (George) of Wadley; companion, Donna Graham of Swainsboro; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to: Bethel/Moxley Cemetery Fund, c/o Dana Nasworthy, 8390 Pinetucky Road, Kite, Georgia 31049.

Chapman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
