Mrs. Lula Mae Robinson, a centenarian and a beloved member of the Twin City community, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the age of 102. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 20, at 1 p.m. at Parrish Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Lula was born November 3, 1921, in Jenkins County, to the late Richard Facyson and Sophie Facyson. She married Theodore “Buddy” Robinson and they had six children: Lillie B. Reynolds, Johnny L. Robinson (deceased), Eva M. Smith, Mary A. Cross, Felix Robinson and Stanley D. Robinson. Lula was blessed with five generations of descendants who cherished her. She was a kind, gentle, and generous person who touched the lives of many people in her 102 years of life. Lula will be remembered for her strength, her resilience, and her love of dressing up and wearing her red lipstick, as she was always ready for any occasion. Lula was dearly loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Whitaker Funeral Home of Metter is in charge of arrangements.
