Mrs. Beverly Kay Goodman Alderman, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Evans Memorial Hospital. Funeral service was held Friday, December 8, at 11 a.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with Rev. Jessie Ray Goodman officiating. Burial followed in Alderman Family Cemetery. The family welcomed visitors Thursday, December 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro.

Nephews served as pallbearers.

Mrs. Alderman was born on May 16, 1945, in Savannah, to the late Mr. John Willie Goodman and Mrs. Essie Mae Brown. She graduated from Metter High School and later from Swainsboro Tech. Mrs. Alderman worked for multiple financial organizations in Statesboro as a loan officer. She loved her children and grandchildren deeply and will be dearly missed by all of them. Beverly was a faithful member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church for over 40 years and served as a bible study leader, a choir leader, and a Sunday School teacher. Mrs. Alderman is preceded in death her parents; and Jimmie Alderman.

Mrs. Alderman is survived by her sons, Mark Alderman (Cheri) of Black Creek, Matthew Alderman of Longview, Texas and Will Glover of Statesboro; daughters, Lisa Alderman of Statesboro and Dale Brinson (Brett) of Brooklet; sister, Eileen Sconyers Smith (Frank) of Statesboro; brothers, her twin, Ray Goodman (Minnie) of Metter, Clevie Goodman (Tammy) of Statesboro and John Goodman of Goose Creek, SC.; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

The family requests that any memorial contributions be made to: Evans Memorial Hospital, 200 N. River St. Claxton, GA 30417.

Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home & Crematory of Statesboro was in charge of arrangements.
