Board of Education holds called meeting

The Emanuel County Board of Education met on Friday, November 3, at 9 a.m. at the Central Office with the following members in attendance: John Allen Bailey, Del Brown, Cherie Hooks, Brandon Jones, Tanya Lane, Johnny Parker and Sandra Swinney. Chairman Del Brown welcomed everyone calling the meeting to order. Brandon Jones delivered the invocation followed by Johnny Parker leading the Pledge of Allegiance. A motion was made by Brandon Jones to accept the agenda as presented. Tanya Lane seconded. John Allen Bailey, Del Brown, Cherie Hooks, Brandon Jones, Tanya Lane, Johnny Parker and Sandra Swinney voted “yes”. CARRIED.

EXECUTIVE SESSION

Employments:

The Board approved the employment of the following certified employee:

Coxwell, Tracy – Asst. Director of Student Services – Central Office – 1/3/2024 – NCIC COMPLETE

The Board approved the employment of the following classified employee:

Kersey, Nicole – Caregiver – EHS – 11/06/2023 – NCIC COMPLETE

Resignations/Retirements:

The Board approved the resignation of the following certified employee:

Harrison, Jonathan – Teacher – ECI – 11/2/2023

The Board approved the resignations of the following classified employees:

Hall, Naomi – Parapro – SES – 10/26/2023; Wilkerson, Schenise – Food Service Worker – ECI – 10/19/2023; Mosley, Jeremy – Custodian – SHS – 10/13/2023
