ECI FBLA attends Region 4 Conference

ECI FBLA from the middle and high school levels attended the Georgia FBLA Region 4 Conference on Tuesday, January 23. Over 300 members from Region 4 attended the conference. During the evening, members participated in various performance competitions and leadership workshops.

Workshops included Deal and Develop with Monopoly Deal, Dancing into Leadership, Speak Now-Olivia’s Version, and Communication Skills.

Members were very successful in bringing home awards during the Awards of Excellence Program. Winners included Middle School level chapter Business Concepts: Isabella Steptoe-5th, Business Math; Lawson Frye-3rd, Career Exploration; Jonah Morton-2nd, Exploring Economics; Sheppard Purcell-1st, Intro to Business Communication; Jenna Best-4th, Mission and Pledge; Clay Smith-1st and Blaire Johnson- 2nd, Elevator Speech. The middle school chapter was recognized for being the many of these have advanced to Georgia FBLA Middle School State Leadership Conference in Columbus at the end of the month.

The High School level chapter in Economics: Will Sasser-7th, Introduction to Business Communication; Madison Bell-6th, Introduction to Business Presentation; Madison Bell and Anniston O’Dell-3rd, Job Interview; Ansley Moxley-1st, Sales Presentation; Erin Stanford-2nd. Emma Lai Tyam competed in Impromptu Speaking at the Fall Leadership Conference in November. Many of these have advanced to the Georgia FBLA High School State Leadership Conference in Atlanta in March.

Chapters were also recognized for their membership size in Region 4. Our middle school chapter is the 2nd largest, and the high school is the 3rd largest in the region.
