On Thursday, April 25, 2024, Boss Babies Childcare Center held a ribbon cutting in celebration of a new childcare facility in Twin City. The facility owner/director, Ms. Davia Williams, is a native of Twin City. A 1998 graduate of ECI, Williams received a bachelor’s degree in healthcare management in 2015 and recently completed an associate degree in early childhood care and education at Southeastern Technical College.

The idea of opening a childcare center came to her during the pandemic. She began by opening a Family Childcare Learning Home based out of her home in Garfield.

The name BOSS Babies is not just a name – it is an acronym that stands for Brilliant, Outstanding, Successful Students. Her vision is that each child can have a foundation that will allow him or her to become anything that they inspire to become in life.

Williams’ mission is to show love, kindness and respect to every child and family that she meets in hopes that they too will learn the importance of these values. She cares for the ages of six weeks to 12 years of age, Monday through Friday, and is happy to serve her community.
