Samuel Woods, age 85, departed this life on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Pruitt Health, follow-ing an extended illness. A Celebration of Life was held Tuesday, May 14, at 1 p.m. at Mosley’s Funeral Home Chapel with Elder D.G. Mosley presiding. Interment followed in Swainsboro City Cemetery.

Sam was born August 3, 1938, to the late Harold Woods and Viola Coleman Woods. He was a native of Emanuel County and attended the Lexsy schools. Sam spent his years working hard. He was employed by Handi-House and was a dedicated employee. Mr. Woods is pre-ceded in death by his parents; and sister, Leola Woods.

Mr. Woods leaves to cherish his loving memories with his five sisters, Dora Woods and Rosa Lee Woods, both of Stillmore, Sally Woods of Brunswick, Louise Woods and Deloise Woods, both of Swainsboro; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
