The following occurred during the Emanuel County Superior Court April 2024 term:

James Bush, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea on one count possession of meth w/intent. He was fined $500 with 30 years probation; one count obstruction of an officer with 5 years probation; one count possession of meth with 3 years probation; one count pos-session of drug related objects with 12 months probation. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 30 years, to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as deter-mined by the custodian. The above sentence may be served on probation provided the Defendant shall comply with the Conditions of Probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence. The Court sentences the Defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(c).

Marty Dale Alexander, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty-alford plea on one count failure to register as a sex offender. He was fined $50 with 30 years, serve 5 years, balance probated. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 30 years, with the first 5 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as deter-mined by the custodian. Upon service of 5 years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(a).

Marty Dale Alexander, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty-alford plea on one count aggravated assault. He was fined $50 with 20 years, serve 5 years, balance probated. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 20 years, with the first 5 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the cus-todian. Upon service of 5 years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PRO-VIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(a).

Gerrie Brown, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea on one count possession of meth w/intent – reduced to possession of meth. He was fined $50 with 15 years probation, enter and complete DRC; one count driving without a license with 12 months probation; one count possession of marijuana with 12 months probation; one count possession of drug re-lated objects with 12 months probation; one count improper headlights with 12 months pro-bation. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 15 years, to be served on probation. Defendant is to re-ceive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. The above sentence may be served on probation provided the Defendant shall comply with the Conditions of Probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(a).

Kelvin D. Thomas, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty-alford plea on one count theft by taking. He was fined $50 with 10 years, serve 3 years, balance probated; one count posses-sion of firearm by convicted felon with 10 years, serve 3 years, balance probated. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 10 years, with the first 3 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. Upon service of 3 years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(c).

Kendell Flournoy negotiated a guilty plea on one count possession of firearm by convicted felon. He was fined $50 with 10 years probation, suject to 170-180 PDC; one count obstruc-tion of law enforcement officer with 12 months probation; one count obstruction of law en-forcement officer with 12 months probation. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 10 years, to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody from 10/1/23-6/12/24. The above sentence may be served on probation provided the Defendant shall comply with the Con-ditions of Probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence.

Octavious Jones negotiated a guilty plea on one count driving w/out license. He was fined $250 with 12 months probation; one count possession of marijuana less than oz with 12 months probation; one count impeding traffic flow with 12 months probation; one count possession of firearm by convicted felon with 10 years probation sub to RSAT. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 10 years, to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody from 5/29/24-6/12/24. The above sentence may be served on probation provided the Defendant shall comply with the Conditions of Probation imposed by the Court as part of this sen-tence.

John Ward Jr. negotiated a guilty plea on one count burglary in the first degree. He was fined $50 with 20 years, RSAT susp. for rehab. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 20 years, to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody from 2/20/24-6/12/24. The above sentence may be served on probation provided the Defendant shall comply with the Con-ditions of Probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence.

John Ward, Jr. negotiated a guilty plea on one count possession of schedule II controlled substance. He was fined $500 with 3 years, RSAT susp. for rehab.; one count possession of drug related objects with 12 months probation; one count reckless conduct with 12 months probation; nol pros on four counts possession of schedule IV controlled substance. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 3 years, to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody from 2/20/24-6/12/24. The above sentence may be served on probation provided the Defendant shall comply with the Conditions of Probation imposed by the Court as part of this sen-tence.

Ricky Morgan negotiated a guilty-alford plea on one count failure to register as a sex offend-er. He was fined $50 with 30 years prob., 324 days in jail, CTS. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 30 years, with the first 324 days to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody from 8/2/23. Upon service of 324 days, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence.

Lashawna David non-negotiated a guilty plea on one count felony murder with life w/parole; one count concealing death with 10 years; one count tampering w/evidence w/10 years; nol pros on one count malice murder (dismissed); nol pros on one count aggravated assault (dismissed); nol pros on one count possession of f/a during commission of crime (dismissed); nol pros on one count malice murder (dismissed); nol pros on one count felony murder (dismissed); nol pros on one count aggravated assault (dismissed); nol pros on one count possession of firearm during commission of crime (dismissed); nol pros on one count aggravated assault (dismissed); nol pros on one count possession of unlawful weapons (dismissed); nol pros on one count tampering w/evidence (dismissed). Defendant is sentenced for a total life w/parole. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian.

Nathaniel David non-negotiated a guilty plea on one count malice murder with life/parole; one count possession of f/a during commission of crime with life w/parole; one count con-cealing death with 5 years probation; nol pros on one count felony murder (dismissed); nol pros on one count aggravated assault (dismissed); nol pros on one count malice murder (dismissed); nol pros on one count felony murder (dismissed); nol pros on one count aggra-vated assault (dismissed); nol pros on one count possession of firearm during commission of crime (dismissed); nol pros on one count aggravated assault (dismissed); ); nol pros on one count possession of unlawful weapons (dismissed); nol pros on one count tampering w/evidence (dismissed); nol pros on one count tampering w/evidence (dismissed).
