Mrs. Madelyne Hall Meeks, 56, of Lyons, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. Memorial services will be Wednesday, July 10, at 6 p.m. in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Hardin and Rev. Larry Perkins officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Madelyn was born February 2, 1968, in Swainsboro, to the late Carlos Hall and Natalie Doye Hall. To know Madelyn was to love her. Her sweet spirit and kind heart touched many. Madelyn was an incredible salesperson, spending her entire adult life in sales. She worked at The Forest-Blade for many years before going to WXRS, then to Foundry Broadcasting in Statesboro. Madelyn’s love for music and concerts was very obvious because she could name almost any artist when she heard a song. She attended concerts as often as she could – not only in Georgia, but Tennessee as well. Madelyn loved her three fur babies, Monkey, Baby Dale and Sassy, but the love of her life was her husband, Dale or “Daddy”, as she most often called him. They shared 20 wonderful years together. Mrs. Meeks is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Carlos Lyn Hall; and sister, Debra Giles.

Mrs. Meeks is survived by her husband, Dale Meeks of Lyons; son, Jeremy Dykes of Vidalia; daughter, Jennifer Dykes of Dublin; brother, Dennis (Knocker) Hall of Norristown; sister, Teresa Hall; grandchildren, Sydney, Marley and Landon; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro is in charge of arrangements.
