Rogers recognized as 2024 Georgia 4-H Achievement Scholarship recipient

On Saturday, June 22, FaithAnn Rogers, an Emanuel County 4-H member and recent Swainsboro High School graduate, was recognized as the recipient of the Idelle Lee Carter Memorial Scholarship during a luncheon at Rock Eagle 4-H Center. The award was presented by Kelly Carter, Mrs. Idelle Carter’s granddaughter, in whose memory the scholarship was endowed. In addition to the $1,000 scholarship, FaithAnn also received Master 4-H’er status, the highest honor a Georgia 4-H’er can receive.

FaithAnn, daughter of Brian and Ann Rogers, has been a member of Emanuel County 4-H since the 5th grade. She was a member of the Band of Gold, Beta Club, and FCCLA. FaithAnn is a very active member of First Baptist Church where she is a member of the youth group, praise band, and choir. She is a Certified Teen leader and has been a member of the County 4-H Board of Directors for two years. She is a 2023-2024 Clovers & Company cast member and has competed in 4-H Food Challenge, Pantry Pride, and Project Achievement in the Dairy Foods and Performing Arts categories. FaithAnn plans to attend Ogeechee Technical College and major in Culinary Arts.

Annually, the Georgia 4-H Foundation awards more than 40 scholarships totaling over $30,000 to recent high school graduates and students currently enrolled in post-secondary institutions through the Georgia 4-H Achievement Scholarship program. The scholarships recognize students for their involvement and success in 4-H, the classroom, and the community.
