Mt. Olivet Missionary Baptist Church, located at 1593 Mt. Olivet Church Road, Garfield, will host Homecoming Services on Sunday, July 21. The church, established 118 years ago in a brush arbor across the road from its present location, has a rich history of being a beacon and guiding light to the community. Many of the church members are descendants of the original founders and extend a warm welcome for everyone, including family, friends, members past and present, along with anyone who has never been to make plans to attend this celebration.

The morning service will begin at 10:30 a.m. The Will & Dorie Show, from Jenkins County, will provide music. Following the service, a noon meal consisting of side dishes to compliment fried chicken, will be served in the church fellowship hall. Mt. Olivet pastor Randy Graham says, “Please join us for this day in the Lord’s house! We look forward to seeing everyone and reminiscing and worshipping together! Please come, bring a friend and a hearty appetite for a blessing and a great meal!”
