Mr. Joseph F. “Joe” Haile, III, age 74, of Adel, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at his home. A private graveside service was held Thursday, July 11, at 11 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery Annex in Adel where the eulogy was given by Mrs. Diane Haile.

Joe was born February 3, 1950, in Nashville, Georgia to the late Joseph Franklin Haile, Jr. and Marilee Hughes Haile. He lived most of his life in Cook County. Joe was a member of First Baptist Church of Adel. He was retired from the State of Georgia where he worked as a juvenile probation officer. Joe also served honorably in the United States Army, United States Army National Guard and retired from the United States Air Force Reserve. Cats and dogs held a special place in his heart.

Mr. Haile is survived by his wife, Diane Walters Haile; son and daughter-in-law, Richard “Bubba” and Laura Bailey; daughters, Kimberly Bailey and Charlotte “Mandy” Bailey, all of Adel; eleven grandchildren, Harlan “Seth” and Stephanie Bryan of Roswell, Catherine “Allyson” Broyles of New York City, New York, Kristen Broyles of Adel, Robyn Broyles of Pensacola, Florida, Eli Bryan of Adel, Shannon and Brett Joyal of Londonderry, New Hampshire, Isaac Kennedy, Grayson Kennedy, Titus Bryan, Brooklyn Bailey and Jacob Bailey, all of Adel; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family requests that donations in memory of Mr. Haile be made to any animal rescue organization, Georgia Baptist Children’s Homes and Family Ministries (georgiachildren.org or P.O. Box 329, Palmetto, GA 30268) or to Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes (georgiasheriffsyouth.org or 1000 Sheriffs Way, Madison, GA 30650).

Boone Funeral Home, Inc., Adel, Georgia was in charge of arrangements.
