Misty Matilda Kirby, age 47, of Dublin, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Fairview Park Hospital after a brief illness. A private service will be held at a later date.

Misty was born December 28, 1976, in Swainsboro, to the late Roger Kirby and Oliene Kirby Beasley.

She loved the outdoors and the Ohoopee River. Misty enjoyed fishing and cooking and loved nature and herbal remedies. Most of all, she loved her family and fur babies and making movies of them. Misty was a talented guitarist and vocalist and loved “jamming” with her family and friends. She loved laughter, and her contagious smile and laugh could warm any heart. Misty was very much loved and will be deeply missed by all her family, friends and loved ones. Mrs. Kirby is preceded in death by her parents; and nephews, “Scooter” Kirby and Christopher “Bubba” Lovett.

Mrs. Kirby is survived by her spouse, Mandy Williams of Dublin; sisters, Sharon Kirby, Darlene Wommack (Keith) and Wendy Webb, all of Swainsboro; brothers, Wailey Kirby, Wayne Kirby, Jamie Kirby, all of Swainsboro and Jamie Kirby (Cheri) of Bartow; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Pruitt Health Hospice – Swainsboro, 667 S. Main Street, Swainsboro, GA 30401.

Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
