On Friday, August 2, 2024, before the break of dawn, Shelia Diane Johnson-Archie’s mission on earth was completed. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, August 10, at 11 a.m. at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Midville with Pastor Malachi Lockett presiding.

Shelia was born December 18, 1958, to Clara Bell Colbert Johnson and Allen Johnson, Sr. She attended Summertown Elementary then transitioned to Swainsboro High School. After graduation, Shelia attended Emanuel County Junior College then transferred to Georgia Southern University where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. She married Alexander Archie in July 1982, and to this union, they had three children, Alexandria Tunisha Archie, Brittany Romana Yvette Archie and Alexander Xavier Omarion D’inate Archie. Shelia began working at Emanuel County Head Start in Oak Park and treated all her students like they were the apples of her eye. Mrs. Archie Is preceded in death her mother; and siblings, Diane and Melvin.

Mrs. Archie leaves to mourn and celebrate her life with her father; husband; children, Alexandria, Brittany, Alexander, all of Midville, Quantavious Harper and Desmond Archie, both of Swainsboro; two brothers; three sisters; and a host of extended family and friends.

Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
