Tommy Dwane Jarriel, of Cobbtown, passed away early Thursday morning, August 8, 2024. Graveside service was held Saturday, August 10, at 10 a.m. in Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Blalock officiating. The family received friends at the cemetery immediately following the service.

Tommy was born July 7, 1957, in Collins, to Harry and Delores Jarriel. He graduated from Reidsville High School in 1975 and was and operator of Jarriel Tire in Metter. Tommy was of the Methodist faith. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, and take care of his pine tree farm. Tommy also enjoyed cooking at family gatherings and spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Jarriel is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kelly Patterson Jarriel of Cobbtown; daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Russ Yeomans of Swainsboro; son and daughter-in-law, Weston and Mandi Jarriel of Metter; grandchildren, Kate Yeomans of Swainsboro, Maranda Usry of Sandy Springs, Ander, Adley and Aida Jarriel of Metter; four sisters, Patsy Blalock (David) of Vidalia, Hilda Collins (Joey), Karen Paradise (Greg) of Collins, and Harriet Smith (Spurgeon) of Glenville; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to: Georgia Sheriffs’ Herrington Homestead, 8109 Hwy 297, Nunez, GA 30448; (478) 307-0590; [email protected].

Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter was in charge of arrangements.
