In addition, STAR Staff Awards and Distinguished Faculty Awards were presented to faculty and staff who have gone above and beyond for students.

Also, at this year’s program, the EGSC Police Department honored Daniel McCoy who recently retired from the College. For the Academic Affairs Unit, Theresa Davis was recognized from the CHOICE Program and Jeff Waller from the Academic Center for Excellence. From the Student Affairs Unit, Brandon Kight from Financial Aid, Jessica Jones from the Admissions Department, and Sherrie Helms in Student Affairs were all recognized for their achievements. Danielle Renew from the Business Affairs Department and David Steptoe from Plant Operations were recognized by the Business Affairs Unit at the College.

The Distinguished Faculty of the Year Awards were presented to three outstanding faculty members who are dedicated to student success. Johnna Eaton received the Distinguished Faculty of the Year Award. Jessica Todd was presented with the Teaching Excellence Award. The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Award was given to Ren Denton.

EGSC’s success as an institution is strengthened by its dedicated faculty and staff who are focused on helping every student achieve a college degree. EGSC would like to thank the faculty and staff for their hard work each year.
