Judgement House is a walk-through drama that presents the truth of people’s choices versus the consequences of those decisions both in this life and the next. Hawhammock Baptist Church has presented Judgement House for the past twenty-two years and is looking forward to our twenty-third year. A huge “thank you” is offered to our community both far and wide for their patronage and support. The pastor of Hawhammock, Cail Pressey says, “We are excited about this year’s presentation. The script is strong, and the message is strong. We hope that the community will come share as the gospel of Jesus is presented in drama.”

This year’s performance is entitled “Heart’s Desire.” Gabby and her mom have moved to a new community for mom’s work. Finding a new group of friends is difficult at any age and Gabby is easily lured by Tilly, who is the leader of the school’s most popular group. Gabby does not realize until it is too late that Tilly has befriended her not to include her, but to use her. Tilly, like many teenagers and even adults has tried everything to reach the next high, both socially and through alcohol and drugs. Then, Fentanyl enters. Did Gabby or Tilly find their heart’s desire?

Our communities have endured an event through Hurricane Helene that we will remember for a long time. Some of you are still without power and the essentials to which we are accustomed. Please make plans today to join us. The there is power at Hawhammock Baptist Church and the air conditioner works great! The dates are October 20, 23, 26, and 27. There is no charge, but reservations are highly recommended. For reservations, please call (478) 455-4687 and leave a message; your call will be returned. For more information, call Hawhammock Baptist Church at (478) 237-3429.
