Levon Cross, age 62, departed this life on Monday, November 25, 2024, after an extended illness. A Celebration of Life was held Sunday, December 1, at 2 p.m. at Swainsboro City Cemetery with Rev. Melvin Adams officiating.

Levon was born October 28, 1962, in Swainsboro, to the late George and Sadie Cross. He attended Emanuel County School system and was a member of The Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Swainsboro. Levon moved to Jacksonville, FL for many years and was a self-employed landscaper. He also worked for a law firm. James’ passions were landscaping, lawn care, planting flowers and mowing. He loved the beauty of nature., watching it grow and seeing how his hard work paid off. Mr. Cross is preceded in death by his parents; and seven brothers.

Mr. Cross leaves to cherish his memories with his son, Chris Sanders of Swainsboro; granddaughter, Emyree Cross of Jacksonville, FL; brothers, Roger Richards, Donnie Cross and Andre McCloud, all of Swainsboro; sisters, Sadie (Wayne) Brown of Swainsboro and Inez Cross of Jacksonville, FL; other relatives and friends.

Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
