Michael Lee “Mike” Whitehead, 46, of Garfield, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Memorial Health Hospital in Savannah. Funeral services were held Friday November 29, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Hardin officiating, assisted by Reverend Randy Adams. Interment followed in the Hebron Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends Friday, November 29, from 12 to 1:45 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Mitch Flakes, Tyler Flakes, Bailey Sause, Kevin Edenfield, Gavin Edenfield, Eric Woods, Hunter Bragg and Dee Akridge. Honorary pallbearers were the Twin City Precision Metals Employees.

Mike was born on March 7, 1978, in Augusta, to Warren Lee Whitehead and Lynn Stroud Taylor. He was a family man and loved the Georgia Bulldogs. Mike enjoyed golfing and the races. He was known as the one that could do it all at Twin City Precision from unloading metal off the truck, programming designs, to shipping it out. Mike was known as Pa to his grandson. He brought a lot of happiness to his world. Mr. Whitehead is preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Whitehead is survived by his mother; wife, April Woods Whitehead of Garfield; son, Chase Whitehead of Garfield; daughters, Railey Whitehead (Hunter) of Thomson and Chailey Whitehead of Garfield; grandson, Chipper Bragg of Thomson; brother, Chris Whitehead (Kristen) of Waynesboro; father and mother-in-law, Eddie and Kathy Woods of Twin City; sister and brother-in-law, Crystal and Mitch Flakes of Garfield; sister-in-law, Jami Woods of Twin City; special niece, Taylor Rae Flakes; special nephew, Tyler Flakes (Alisha); several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
