Karen Jennifer “Jenni” Davis, age 70, passed away Monday, December 30, 2024, at her home in Pooler. Graveside service was held Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 3 p.m. at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Vidalia. Family received friends Saturday, January 4, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home in Savannah.

Jenni was the daughter of Mr. Alton Davis and Mrs. Johnnie James Lee, and was a loving sister to Dianne Davis Conner and Ronald Davis. She was born and raised in Swainsboro, but lived most of her life in Savannah, growing up in her favorite South Georgia town surrounded her with lifelong friends whom she cherished deeply and whose friendship brought her great happiness. Jenni was a graduate of Swainsboro High School’s Class of 1972 and spent her life’s work at St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System serving as the Executive Assistant to President and CEO Paul P. Hinchey until her retirement in 2002. She enjoyed many things in life, but her greatest joy was being “Mammy” to her grandsons, David and Jacob. Ms. Davis is preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Talmadge Lee; and her sister and best friend, Dianne.

Ms. Davis is survived by her daughter, Vicki Butler (Ross); grandsons, David Butler and Jacob Butler, all of Savannah; brother, Ronald Davis (Mary) of Columbus; stepdaughters, Amanda Reed and Meredith Starling; cherished nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Greg, Susan, Tim, Josh, Kristine and Meghan; other relatives and special friends.

Baker McCullough Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
