Tom “Monkey” May III, age 64, was called from labor to eternal rest on Friday, December 27, 2024, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro, following an extended illness. A Reflection of Life was held Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church with Elder Chris Stanford presiding and Evangelist Yvetta Northcutt speaking.

Tom was born July 24, 1960, in Swainsboro, to the late Tom May, Jr. and MaeOllie (BigMa) Smith Fluellen. He was loved by many and will be sadly missed. Mr. May is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Viola J. (NiceeAnn) Fluellen; and brothers, Donald (Stank) Fluellen and Curtis Smith.

Mr. May leaves to cherish his memories with his wife, Brenda Harp May of Albany; sons, Tom May IV and Tommy May, both of Cincinnati, OH; brothers, Charlie (Duke Bug) Fluellen (Anne) and Alfred (Shug) May, both of Swainsboro; sister, Yvetta Northcutt of Eastman; special caregivers, Cassandra (Buddy) Daniels and Joseph (Joe) Smith, all of Swainsboro; special cousin, Annette May of Swainsboro; special friend, Shon Corley of Swainsboro; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
