BY: LISA BERTOCH, EMANUEL MEDICAL CENTER FOUNDATION CHAIR

On behalf of the Emanuel Medical Center Foundation we want to send out a heartfelt THANK YOU for the outstanding show of support to “Help the Beat Go On” fundraiser held on February 6, 2025 at the Nordson Center.

It was a great evening full of music, food, fellowship and fun with both a silent and live auction benefiting the Emanuel Medical Center & Nursing Home. We are amazed and humbled at the eagerness of so many individuals and businesses willing to donate their time, talent and resources to help make this a successful event!

The many items, experiences and services that were donated and purchased for the auction raised over $60,000! We are so grateful for the giving hearts in our community. Funds raised will help support the ongoing needs for equipment and activities at the hospital & nursing home.

Emanuel Medical Center is dedicated to continuously enhancing healthcare services for our community. Over the past six months, our hospital has made great strides, including breaking ground on its ER expansion, welcoming four new physicians, opening three new clinics, and initiating plans for expanding the nursing home. These efforts reflect our hospital’s commitment to providing high-quality, accessible care close to home.

Emanuel Medical Center truly is the “heartbeat of our community” providing access to essential medical services and supporting our local economy. As Mr. Frank Canady stated at the auction “You don’t need to travel out of town when we have excellent care available right here in Emanuel County.”

For the second consecutive year, Georgia Trend magazine has ranked EMC as the #2 best small hospital in the state. Leaders across the state recognize the phenomenal hospital that we are blessed to have right here in Emanuel County.

We ask for your continued support. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit your donations to the foundation are tax deductible. Donations can be made at any time and can also be made “in honor of” or “in memory of” a loved one at your request. If you would like to make a contribution please contact Lynn Brinson at EMC or mail to Emanuel Medical Center Foundation – 117 Kite Rd, Swainsboro, GA 30401. We would love to hear your stories!
