Officers with the Swainsboro Police Department (SPD) reported…

February 20

Officer was informed during court that offender had a warrant out for his arrest from Johnson County. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.

Officer observed a vehicle with a blown-out taillight, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Upon running the driver’s license, officer discovered they are suspended. Offender was cited and released.

Officer observed a driver known to have suspended driver license, at which time he initiated a traffic stop.

Officer observed a vehicle fail to stop before turning at a red light, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Driver had suspended license.

February 21

Officer was dispatched to E. Pine St. Apartments in reference to a dispute.

Offender was arrested at SPD for an arrest warrant and transported to EmCo Jail.

Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated she was trying to get a TPO on her brother/offender because he has threatened her and her children’s life, and she’s scared for him to find out where she lives.

Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated someone broke into her brother’s house on Lewis St.

Officer observed a driver holding a wireless device, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. The vehicle was found to have no valid insurance, and the driver did not have a driver’s license. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.

Officer responded to Family Dollar in reference to complainant stating a vehicle tried to run her over as she was walking across the parking lot. Officer made contact with the vehicle and the driver stated she did not try to run over c/p. Driver stated she and c/p have had conflict for a while and c/p calls the police on her at the slightest inconvenience. Witness stated offender did try to hit c/p and exited the vehicle shouting vulgar words towards c/p in front of a small child.

February 22

Officer was dispatched to Gumlog Rd. in reference to a domestic. Officer observed a female being very irate and loud towards a male subject standing on the porch. Complainant stated offender agreed to let him run a drop cord from her residence to run a heater then seemed upset about the drop cord. Offender stated offender ran the drop cord without her permission and also stated offender physically assaulted her. Officer ran offender’s info to find she had a warrant for her arrest. A hit was confirmed, and offender was transported to EmCo Jail.

Officer was dispatched to Deluxe Inn in reference to caller stating she needed to file a report about her vehicle. Complainant stated her vehicle broke down in Garfield and an acquaintance told her he could have his friend take a look at it and after some months, the vehicle is no longer there. C/p advised that her friend told her the city had it towed.

Officer responded to E. Main St. in reference to a dispute. Complainant advised offender was irate and causing problems at the dealership. Offender stated he had questions about his vehicle warranty and was advised to seek another dealership.

February 23

Officer responded to Anderson Dr. in reference to a tree falling on a house. Officer observed the tree had fallen from the neighboring property.

Officer responded to Lucky St. in reference to a stolen vehicle.

Officer was dispatched to Gumlog Rd. in reference to vehicle damage.

February 24

Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated her tag was missing.

Officer advised she received a pickup order on a juvenile. Offender was arrested on a warrant and transported to EmCo Jail to be transported to a detention center.

Officer observed a vehicle run a stop sign, at which time he attempted to initiated a traffic stop but the vehicle increased speed. Vehicle continued to increase speed in an attempt to elude. Driver finally turned into a driveway on Marion St. Driver stated she and passenger did not have on their seatbelts so that‘s why she didn’t stop. Driver gave a name and DOB, as well as the 11-year-old passenger. Driver gave false info to officer, then gave correct info to find her license are revoked and a probation warrant. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail and the passenger was released to her mother.

February 25

Officers were dispatched to Longview Rd. in reference to a hang up call. Complainant stated she and her boyfriend started an arguing, and he has physically abused he and she is scared of him because he recently purchased a gun.

Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated a leaf blower had been stolen from his vehicle.

Officer responded to Thigpen Dr. in reference to caller stating she went to check on victim and she was cold to the touch.

February 26

Officer was dispatched to E. Pine St. in reference to a domestic.

Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated someone entered her vehicle while parked at her house and her Bluetooth device was stolen.

Officer made contact with offender of illegal dumping in a commercial dumpster.

Officer responded to Longview Rd. in reference to complainant stating the mother of his children was threatening him and stating she was going to abandon their children, and he’s concerned for their well-being.

February 27

Officer was dispatched to Gumlog Rd. in reference to complainant stating offender threw a stump at c/p’s windshield.

Officer responded to Herrington St. in reference to complainant stating she had been hit in the face.

February 28

Officer took a report where complainant stated his mother opened a credit card in his name and he did not give her permission.
