Farris Madison Hudson, Jr., age 67, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2025. A Homegoing Celebration was held Monday, March 10, at 1 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Louisville with Pastor Delmus Mosley officiating.

On Easter Sunday, April 21, 1957, God blesses the lives of Farris Madison Hudson, Sr. and Jewel Miller Hudson with the precious gift of their only son, Farris, Jr. He was a 1974 graduate of former Wadley High School and furthered his education earning an associate degree from Emanuel County Junior College. Farris graduated Summa Cum Laude from Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta, then became a licensed funeral director and embalmer. Minister Hudson is preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law, Ricky Wesby and Earl B. Williams, Sr.; and sister-in-law, Nyeta Faye Wesby Dugan.

Minister Hudson’s memory will forever live in the hearts of his wife, Verna Wesby Hudson; son, Farris M. Hudson III; sisters, LaZelda H. Williams, Farlyn Hudson, Shawana Lynn Lewis (Donovan, Sr.) and Phrashunda J. Hudson; mother-in-law, Mary Lewis Wesby; father-in-law, Willie L. Wesby; brother-in-law, Gary Dugan; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
