Members of the Skunk Brigade traveled to Wrens to attend the America 250 event on Saturday, February 15, at 11 a.m. in downtown, held by the John Franklin Wren Chapter NSDAR. All ten of them participated in the Georgia Color Guard in presenting The Colors led by the Georgia Society South District Commander Steve Burke. After the presentation of the Colors, the Pledge to the Flag of the U.S., National Anthem, greetings by the dignitaries’ and the reading of all the John Franklin Wren Chapter Members Patriots, a 3-round volley by the militia with their flintlocks and the Brier Creek Artillery with their cannons was held. The Colors were then retired, and the invocation delivered. This event was attended by 100 adults and children.
