Jimmy Johnson, age 75, transitioned on April 14, 2025, at Pruitt Health in Swainsboro. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, April 19, at 11 a.m. at Victory Temple Church with Minister Alex Worthen and Pastor Christine Peebles officiating.

Jimmy was born March 10, 1950, in Swainsboro, to the late Jim Worthen, but raised by Tom Johnson and Ola Mae Mason Johnson. Jimmy was self-employed as a brick mason and also did some construction work. His many hobbies included fishing, mechanical work and lawn care. Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by his parents; 15 brothers; and two sisters.

Mr. Johnson leaves his memories with his children, Shirley and George Newkirk of Rentz, Nate and Jacqueline Lockett of Conyers, Reginald and Sebradell Willis of Dublin, Curtis and Diane Willis of Rockledge, and Suprena Gardner; 46 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; brother, Dannie Worthen; special nephew, Luwaski McCloud, Sr.; special niece, Sharon Boston; and many other relatives and friends.

Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
