Officers with the Swainsboro Police Department (SPD) reported…

April 21

Officer responded to KT’s in reference offender asking people at the store for money. Offender got into an argument with the store manager earlier in the night and she asked officers if offender could be criminally trespassed.

April 22

Complainant stated she purchased a license plate for her car but never received it.

Officers responded to WalMart in reference to a male being fired and making threats to other employees. Offender was criminally trespassed.

Officer observed a vehicle with a defective headlight, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail for DUI.

April 23

Officer responded to The Smoke Cave in reference to an alarm going off. The drive-thru window was busted out and merchandise was laying on the ground outside the window.

Officer took a walk-in report where complainant in reference to fraud.

ECSO put out a BOLO on a truck involved in a domestic abuse crime in Johnson County and was headed to Swainsboro. Officer observed the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. Driver stated he did not have his license on him at the time, which it was found to be suspended. Offender seemed very nervous. Driver and passenger were transported to EmCo Jail.

April 24

Officer responded to S. Racetrack St. multiple times in reference to complainant wanting offender removed from the residence. Complainant was highly intoxicated and advised not to be out walking the street due to his level of intoxication.

Complainant stated his family member’s boat was stolen out of Lake India. Chief Riner and Captain Peacock located the boat and advised it had become unsecured.

Officers were dispatched to Gumlog Rd. in reference to domestic violence. Officer observed a vehicle speed off form the location and was informed by complainant that was the offender and took her child. Officer attempted to pursue the vehicle but lost sight. Officer returned to the residence and c/p stated offender got into an argument with her. Officer reviewed camera footage of the incident for evidence. Officer was informed later that the grandmother of c/p received custody of the child from offender’s grandmother. Warrants were issued for offender.

Officers were dispatched to Flanders St. in reference to a domestic. The female was verbally loud and upset and provoking the male. Female kept hollering profanities at the male and officers and refused to calm down after being told to. She then began screaming loudly and banging her head against the window. It was discovered that the male subject was wanted for a probation violation. Both were transported to EmCo Jail.

Officer went to Wheeler County Jail to pick up offender in reference to extraditing him to EmCo Jail for a warrant.

April 25

Officers were dispatched to Budget Inn in reference to a dispute.
