May 3
Deputy responded to a suspicious person on Mckinney Pond Road. While traveling to the call, dispatch advised that the suspect left the home and was traveling down Hwy 56 around 78-80 mph. Deputy initiated a traffic stop upon spotting the vehicle. While reading out the tag to dispatch, the driver opened the door and attempted to exit the vehicle. Deputy ordered offender to show his hands, and offender was arrested.
May 4
Deputy assisted SPD with a call at East Georgia State College. Deputy was advised that there was a female in the interview room that was held at gunpoint, choked, and punched in the face by her boyfriend. The victim explained that she and her boyfriend had an argument when she kept calling him to ask where he was with her car. She also stated that his child was in the car in the front seat with no car seat. Victim sat in the back seat when offender picked her up and rolled down her window which sparked another argument. The child was dropped off, she sat in the front passenger seat when the offender got angry with the music in the vehicle. This is when offender began to get physical with the victim. Upon their arrival home, the altercation continued.
May 5
Complainant called the office and stated that an unknown female had called him and told him to meet her at Walgreens to give her some money. C/p was advised that it was a scam. C/p stated that he wanted an unmarked car in the parking lot when he went to Walgreens. C/p called Deputy and stated that he waited 20 minutes for offender to arrive and the never showed up.
C/p called the office and stated that the offender, which she has a TPO on, made contact with her boss and asked her to get c/p to drop the TPO.
May 7
911 dispatched a call to Quick Road in reference to a domestic. Upon arrival, deputy spoke to the victim who stated that her father had pushed her down to the floor and hit her. She also stated that she stopped by to tell her father that his son was in the hospital and in bad shape.
May 8
Deputy was called to a report of vehicles being shot at Wilson Road and West Broad Street. Upon arrival deputy spoke with c/p who stated that he parks his truck on Wilson Road and noticed a bullet hole when going to get into his truck that morning. Investigator was called and contacted multiple neighbors to see if they had heard anything.
Deputies responded to George L Smith State Park Road in reference to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival deputies attempted contact at the front door with no answer. Upon the landlord passing by and knocking the offending parties opened the door. They advised that there was no issue, just an argument earlier that day. The female advised that she took the phone and keys belonging to offender which caused a verbal argument. It was stated that they grabbed each other and fell, resulting in the female hitting a wooden pole that was used to support the overhang of the front porch. They were advised that the issue was still disorderly conduct and that if anything further happened, they could be arrested.
C/p was traveling West on I-16 when she struck an unknown object in the road, causing disabling damage to her vehicle.
Deputy responded to a residence on Hampton Avenue. Upon arrival, contact was made with c/p who advised that her daughter and her boyfriend had recently gotten back from a trip. She stated that the couple had been arguing about an inmate who had been contacting her daughter via phone through multiple numbers. The boyfriend was under the impression that she had been cheating on him. After a few drinks, he left the residence with a gun. After gathering information, deputy left the residence an spotted a man in the woods. When deputy called out for him, he ran further into the woods. Units were called to the site, and a perimeter was set, and offender was detained.
Deputy met with c/p’s in reference to a verbal dispute. Male c/p stated that upon an argument he felt his wife had attempted to provoke him to hit her after she refused to move out of his way. He further stated that the dispute ensued after his wife accused him of cheating when he returned home that evening. Female c/p stated that she had not tried to provoke him but became suspicious upon his return home because he refused to show her any affection which was out of the normal.
Deputy met with victim at Veal Street in reference to a physical altercation. Victim stated that the altercation started after he confronted offender about cutting the grass. A physical altercation ensued causing minor injuries to the victim.
May 10
Responding deputies assisted GSP with a single vehicle fatality accident on HWY 80 west.
Reporting deputy met with c/p at Horton Street in reference to damage found to the residence. The damage in question is described as a single gunshot impacted & penetrated through the dining room. C/p stated that there was gunfire in the neighborhood earlier that week.
May 11
C/p was driving on Canoochee Bypass and left the roadway and became stuck in the ditch. Vehicle was pull out and damage was found on the driver’s door. Vehicle was towed for repair.
Deput was dispatched to Tip Top Road in reference to a civil dispute. C/p/victim stated that his son traded his brand-new tires with a neighbor without his knowledge or permission. He stated that as soon as he found out he told his son to get his tires back and attempted to contact the neighbor with no answer. He stated that he told the neighbor that his son had no right to trade those tires on the car that he does not own. Neighbor was not willing to give the tires back and called 911 due to it being a civil matter.
Deputy was dispatched to Ehrlich Farm Road in reference to files missing from a computer. C/p/victim stated that he was hospitalized for 2 weeks and when he was discharged he noticed files missing from his computer.
