Rosa Lee Hearst, age 83, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, May 17, at 2 p.m. at Mosley’s Funeral Home with Scott Weigl officiating.

Mrs. Rosa was born June 11, 1941, in Wilkinson County, to the late John Gee and Ruby L. Gallimore Hughes. She relocated to Paterson, NJ, where she worked as a healthcare provider at the North Jersey Training School for a number of years before moving back to Macon. Mrs. Rosa was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Macon. Due to health issues, she moved to Swainsboro in October 2023 to be near her brother, where for a short time, she was a member of the Swainsboro Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Mrs. Hearst is preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; four sisters; four nephews; and two nieces.

Mrs. Hearst is survived by one brother, Nathaniel (Annise) Hughes of Swainsboro; devoted niece, Marquita Harvell; special nephew, Daren “D” Curry; special niece, De’Aja Washington; and many other relatives and friends.

Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
