May 12
Officer was dispatched to S Main Street in reference to shoplifting that occurred the day before. A description was made to officer and offender was identified but had not been located.
Officer responded to SPD in reference to a wanted person. Offender was transported to Emanuel County Jail.
Officer was at SPD for a walk in report. C/p stated that offender took a large amount of money out of his vehicle. He named who he believed to be the offender but was advised that there was not enough evidence to prove the alleged offender committed the act.
C/p came to officer at Walmart and wanted to report lost property. She stated that her pocket book was in her shopping cart and her husband left it in there when returning it. Officer went inside to look at footage and viewed a woman taking the purse.
Officer was dispatched to the area of West Main Street and Karrh Drive in reference to c/p wanting to file a report of a juvenile on a bicycle shooting at his truck with a BB gun. No contact was made with offender or parents.
Officer was dispatched to S Main St in reference to a subject who was previously trespassed being on the property. Offender was arrested.
Officers were dispatched to Golf Drive in reference to a fight.
Officer was dispatched to Howard St in reference to damage to property. C/p stated that his neighbors land was being cleared and there were trees and limbs in his yard and the ground was messed up.
Officer was dispatched to Kite Road in reference to vehicle damage. Damage was observed to the rear windshield.
May 13
Officer was dispatched to S Main St in reference to damage to vehicle. C/p stated she hit a yellow pole and damaged her front bumper.
Officer issued citations to offender for unregistered vehicle and no insurance.
Warrant was served on offender for multiple charges.
Officer was dispatched to S Main St in reference to a problem with a person. C/p stated that a customer was causing issues inside the store.
May 14
Officer was dispatched to Lewis Street in reference to a domestic violence call. Offender was arrested.
Officer was dispatched to S Racetrack St in reference to a disturbance involving a loose dog and a verbal altercation. All parties were separated.
Officers responded to a call on Alice Circle Dr in reference to a damage to property report. C/p stated that a delivery driver hit an automatic door off the tracks when leaving.
Officer was dispatched to Happiness Drive in reference to a domestic dispute that had already taken place. Parties were separated.
May 15
Officer responded to N Main St in reference to a reported theft. C/p stated that his Moped had been stolen.
Officer took a report of harassing communications from c/p. She stated that she was receiving harassing text messages from offender and was told to block offender.
Officers responded to S Main St in reference to c/p stating that someone operating a drone damaged her truck. She stated that a drone had been following her every time she left her house and damage was shown.
Officer arrested offender for driving without a valid license. Vehicle was towed.
May 16
Officer responded to Washington St in reference to a juvenile that refused to get up and go to school. Upon arrival c/p stated that the juvenile left through the back door. Juvenile was located at the bus stop.
Officer was dispatched to New Street in reference to reported theft of money. C/p stated that offender stole money from her wallet and may have used it to purchase drugs. She also stated that she no longer wanted offender to live at her residence.
Officer responded to Washington St in reference to a report of c/p’s sons fighting resulting in a broken tv. All parties were separated.
Officer responded to E Main St in reference to a report of harassment. C/p stated that offender had taken a protective order against her in January, but has been showing up to her place of work.
Officer was dispatched to Lee Street in reference to a domestic violence call. Situation was resolved and all parties were separated.
Officer conducted a traffic stop on Gumlog Rd in reference to a driver failing to stop at a stop sign. An odor of marijuana was detected from the vehicle and a search was conducted where burnt marijuana cigarettes were located. Offender was written citations.
