According to the Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office…

May 26

Deputies were dispatched to NE Railroad Ave. in reference to a domestic dispute. Offender was outside yelling and cursing at victim and witness and throwing things around then began cursing deputies. Offender was asked several times to calm down and began demanding that deputies unlock a vehicle that belonged to witness because her ID was in the vehicle. Offender then went towards victim and she was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct. After offender was placed in custody, victim stated she went towards him with a machete and he took it away from her.

May 27

Deputies responded to a residence in reference to a male standing at complainant’s door. Deputies observed the male subject sitting in a chair on c/p’s porch and asked what he was doing. Offender was unable to answer any of the questions and upon observing the doorbell camera footage, offender was opening the doors and walking around on c/p’s porch. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail for prowling and was making irrational statements which led jail staff to believe offender may have a mental issue.

May 28

Complainant stated his boat trailer tag was lost or stolen.

May 29

Deputies responded to Colston Ln. in reference to a domestic. Before arrival, 911 advised offender left the scene and was headed back to his home in Millen. Deputies tried to make contact with offender before he left the county while another deputy spoke with complainant. C/p stated she and offender started talking not long ago and he got upset after his dog busted out of a cage and damage the cage. C/p stated offender became very upset and began cursing and throwing things around the house and they began to argue which led offender to grabbing c/p by the throat and throwing her to the ground and threatened to kill her. Deputy did not observe any visible marks or bruises. C/p advised she made a report two weeks ago with TCPD in reference to offender getting upset and threatening to kill her. While speaking with c/p, offender called from a private number and deputy asked if he could speak with him. Deputy asked offender where he was, and he stated he was almost home, and deputy asked him to meet with him at TCPD and he agreed. Offender then asked if he was in trouble and was advised that they just needed to talk about what happened. Deputy met offender at TCPD and informed him that the only reason he was not being arrested for domestic violence was because c/p had no visible marks on her. Offender lifted his shirt to show several scratches all over his chest and stomach and stated he did not choke c/p, he was trying to leave, and she was trying to get his to stay and was pushing and scratching him. Offender was informed not to contact or go over to c/p’s anymore and that she was seeking a TPO.

May 30

Deputy took a report from complainant who stated his galvanized gate was stolen. C/p advised his gate was seen by his neighbor on a trailer being pulled by a described truck.

Deputies were dispatched to S. Railroad Ave. in reference to a female walking down the road mumbling. Deputy observed a female matching the description being supported by a male. Deputy made contact with the female who was heavily intoxicated and unable to stand on her own.
