May 23
Officer responded to Electric Drive in reference to a report. Complainant stated that her vehicle broke down and took it to get fixed. When picking it up from the mechanic, the car broke down again within the next hour, and she took it back to the mechanic. When picking it up for a second time, the vehicle broke down again.
Officer arrested offender for DUI and driving without a valid license.
Officer was dispatched to S Main Street in reference to a report of property damage. C/p stated that the rear window of her vehicle had been damaged.
Officer arrested offender for DUI and hit and run.
Officer arrested offender for public drunk and disorderly conduct.
May 24
Officers responded to S Main St regarding a woman calling and reporting a man threatening her with a knife. All parties were separated.
Officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting incident. Items totaled up to $59.90.
Officers responded to Gumlog Rd in reference to a call stating a man was attacking a woman. 911 also reported that he had taken her keys and was causing a scene because he wanted to go somewhere. Offender was arrested.
Officer was dispatched to E Pine Street in reference to a report of damage to a vehicle. C/p stated that he observed damage to the rear end of his vehicle.
May 25
Officers were dispatched to E Pine Street in reference to a fight in progress. Offenders were arrested.
911 dispatched officers to Allen Street in reference to a report of a female and her boyfriend being followed around by the female’s ex-husband while they were delivering through DoorDash. When making contact with alleged offender, he stated that he was not following him, that they were and he had contacted her earlier about picking their son up.
Officer arrested offender for driving without license on person and two active warrants for theft by taking.
Officer arrested offender for DUI.
May 26
Officer was at Harmon Park in reference to a Memorial Day event. C/p stated that he found a purse on the side of the road and wanted to turn it in.
Officer was dispatched to Charles Street in reference to illegal yard debris dumping. Offender was instructed to move the yard debris.
Officer was dispatched to Neal Street in reference to a call about entering auto. C/p stated that when he approached his car the door was open and all the items from his glove compartment were scattered everywhere.
Officer was en-route to Emanuel Medical Center and was advised that c/p was injured from offender hitting him with her car.
May 27
Officer responded to B’s Diner in reference to an entering vehicle report. C/p stated that someone had stolen various items from his vehicle.
Complainant came into SPD to make a report. He stated that he was missing the tag he ordered for his vehicle.
Officer was at SPD in reference to a report. C/p stated that someone filed tax returns in his name.
Officers responded to Anderson Drive in reference to a report that a young man was refusing to exit her mom’s car to go inside the mental health center for an evaluation.
Officer was parked behind Berni’s to execute an arrest warrant. Offender was located and arrested.
Officer issued citations to offender for suspension of license and violation of the move over law.
Officers assisted EMS in reference to a man breathing rapidly, screaming, and clutching his left side. Officers were able to arrive to Emanuel Medical Center with no incident.
911 dispatched officers to Sunset Inn in reference to a report. C/p stated that she was being harassed by drones.
Officer was dispatched to Project Street in reference to c/p stating that her ex-boyfriend and the offender had come to the residence and busted her friend’s windshield. Offenders were not located.
May 28
Officer met with c/p at SPD in reference to reported property damage. C/p advised that an unknown individual had cut the wires to the security cameras at his residence.
Officer arrested offender for aggravated assault.
Officer was dispatched to Sheppard Drive in reference to theft of a moped.
Officer responded to Hardin Drive for a stolen card. C/p stated that her family went to Pooler, and she lost her debit card, and she did not realize it until she started seeing random charges on her account.
Officer was dispatched to the area of Harmon Rd and Lakewood Dr in reference to an anonymous caller reporting a van in the middle of the roadway. There were no occupants located in the vehicle. Vehicle was towed.
Officer responded to Lee St in reference to two kids wanting to fight each other.
Officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a reported theft/shoplifting incident. 911 advised a female had exited the store with a vacuum cleaner she had not paid for and then attempted to return the item.
May 29
911 dispatched officers to Center Street in reference to kids entering a residence and shooting splat ball guns and running out.
C/p came to SPD to report a lost license plate.
Officer took a walk in report at SPD. C/p stated that her boyfriend’s bicycle was stolen, and the offender was seen on it by Walmart.
Officers responded to Abundance St in reference to the complainant stating that someone entered his residence. He stated that he came home, and the front door was open.
Officer issued two citations for no license on person and no insurance.
