Officers with the Swainsboro Police Department (SPD) reported…

May 30

Officer was dispatched to Noth Main St in reference to a reported armed robbery. Surveillance footage was provided.

Officer was dispatched to SPD in reference to a walk-in report. Complainant stated that she went to Walgreens to pick up a prescription but was informed that it had already been picked up by a different person.

Officer was informed by dispatch that an emergency medical service worker advised that a vehicle passed them with no registration number. Vehicle was located and citations were issued along with the vehicle being towed.

Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on North Main St for failure to maintain lane. A search was conducted on the vehicle and marijuana was located. Citations were issued.

May 31

Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle due to it being stopped in the middle of the roadway. A search was conducted, and marijuana was located. Citations were issued.

Officer was dispatched to Meadowlake Parkway in reference to shots fired. C/p stated that she heard four or five gunshots, but no offender was located.

Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to yield at a red light and almost struck another vehicle. A search was conducted on the vehicle and various controlled substances and firearms were located. Offender was arrested.

Officers were dispatched to Williams Street in reference to a caller stating that someone stole his phone. Offender denied the accusations and stated that she asked to borrow his phone to call her children.

Officer spoke with complainant/victim in reference to a report of threats and harassing communications. C/p stated that offender called him on the phone and threatened him and his family.

Officer arrested offender for DUI and driving with suspended license.

Officer was dispatched to North Racetrack Street in reference to an individual parked in another individuals parking spot. Parties were separated.

June 1

Officer was dispatched to South Main Street in reference to a subject who was criminally trespassed being on the property. Offender was arrested.

Officer was dispatched to Lucky Street in reference to a domestic that had already occurred. Offender was arrested.

Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failing to stop at a red light. Offender was arrested for DUI, underage possession of alcohol, and violation of Class D license.

Officer responded to a call of a male and female subject walking around cars acting suspicious. Offenders were criminally trespassed from the location.

June 2

Officer took a report at SPD. C/p stated that over the past week, the offender and another subject have been coming by his hotel room and yelling at him.

Officer responded to Walmart in reference to a complaint. C/p stated that the offender entered his business accompanied by a younger male and asked to see some identification due to the requirement of all patrons in the store to be 21 or older. The older man became angry and yelled at c/p.

Officer was dispatched to Emanuel Medical Center in reference to a dispute that occurred prior on Mason Drive. C/p stated that there was a verbal altercation and as a result, c/p had a stroke.

Officers responded to Walmart in reference to three juveniles shoplifting. C/p provided footage.

Officer was dispatched to Harmon Road in reference to property damage to a residence. C/p advised that a lawn care service was cutting grass at a new building and a loose piece of gravel caused damage to the front door of the residence.

Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a driver that was holding a phone and was did not have a seatbelt on. Offender was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Officer was dispatched to South Main Street in reference to a subject driving a vehicle and almost striking a pole and a person. Offender was arrested for DUI and possession of cocaine.

June 3

Officer observed a vehicle with no tag. Offender was arrested for driving with a suspended license and no insurance.

C/p came into SPD to make a report of theft. She stated that someone stole her bicycle and fishing pole.

Officers responded to North Central Street in reference to a domestic disturbance in progress. All parties were separated.

Officers were contacted be 911 and were advised that the GBI needed assistance for an ongoing murder case. Offender was located in Swainsboro and was located and arrested.

Offender was taken into custody in court.

Officer was dispatched to Crump St in reference to a runaway resident. C/p stated that the subject was cleared from mental evaluation around 20 minutes before leaving the facility. Subject was located but refused to go with authorities.

Officer was dispatched to South Main Street in reference to 911 advising they received a text message requesting an officer to respond in reference to a dispute over a refund. C/p stated that he was seeking a refund for his hotel room because it was too small.

Officer was dispatched to West Church Street in reference to 91 advising they received a call regarding a male and a female arguing. Offenders were located and separated.

June 4

Officer was dispatched to the area of Lake Luck Road and Fortune Loop in reference to four juveniles walking around and riding a moped. The moped was identified as stolen. And offender was arrested for theft by taking.

Officer was dispatched to Emanuel Road in reference to a female subject walking down the road. When located, she stated that she had just left a care home and was looking for a new place to locate.

Officer arrested offender for driving with a suspended license.

Officer met with c/p at SPD to take a report. She stated that the offender had been abusing her and that he was accusing her of stealing money. Parties were separated.

Officer was dispatched to Lee Street in reference to a call about people trying to fight c/p’s son. Parties were separated.

Officer took a walk-in report at SPD in reference to a vehicle theft. C/p stated that he granted permission for his daughter to use his vehicle and that she refuses to return it.

June 5

Officer was dispatched to Gumlog Road in reference to identity theft. C/p stated that she was trying to get food stamps for her son and was told they were not eligible for them due to his information already being peid by a business. When contacting the business, they stated they did not have anyone with c/p’s name as an employee.

Officer received a phone call from victim about someone stealing his tools and selling the tools to Tom’s Pawn Shop. Offender was arrested.

Officer was dispatched to Dollar General in reference to a reported theft. C/p stated that approximately $700 was missing from her wallet. Footage was provided.

Officer was at SPD and was approached by a concerned citizen who stated a big truck spiled gasoline on the roadway.

Officer responded to Emanuel Medical Center in reference to a report of a violation of a TPO. C/p stated that he obtained a TPO against offender in March and she kept violating it.
