The Summer Reading Program is in full swing, and we have much more in store and it is for the whole family to enjoy! Our next performances are scheduled for June 17 with the Library Staff performing a skit at 11 a.m. and June 24b with Storyteller Barry Mann performing at 11 a.m. Everyone of all ages is welcome to attend and there is no signup required for these performances.

The library will be closed on June 19 in honor of Juneteenth and will reopen on Friday, June 20 at 8 a.m. and we will host Toddler Time that morning at 10:30 a.m. We also have been in partnership with Twin City as we have been hosting craft times every Monday at the Welcome Center at 10 a.m. This is an opportunity for those within Emanuel County to have the chance to do crafts and participate in our Summer Reading Program outside of Swainsboro. We will continue to bring incentives for those who have reached their goals to obtain those prizes. Our SRP Color Party will be held June 26 in the library’s back parking lot, and we will have kiddie-pools for toddlers, color powder for everyone to enjoy, and a special treat provided by Swainsboro Fire Department. Their firehose sprinkler will be for everyone to enjoy and cool off from the heat.

A huge thank you goes out to not only our firehouse friends, but also to Swainsboro Kiwanis Club for providing lunch for everyone in attendance that day – thank you both for your continued support. If you have questions, please call or visit us at (478) 237.7791 or at 331 West Main Street, Swainsboro.
