The Miss Southeast Georgia Scholarship Organization would like to congratulate those that competed at the 80th Annual Miss Georgia Scholarship Pageant the week of June 9 through 15, 2025. The young ladies competed in talent, interview, on stage conversation, fitness and even-ing gown.
Halli Kate Johnson of Twin City, our Southeast Georgia’s Teen, daughter of Wade and Anna Johnson, won the Newcomers Preliminary Talent Award for her tap dance to “Sunday Finest” by Sir Roosevelt choreographed by Melanie Thompson Jordan from the Southern Dance Con-nection and the song selection was chosen by Macy Reeves Strimple. She also received Top 15 and a semi-finalist award. Halli Kate was dual enrolled at ECI where she was valedictorian and East Georgia State College. She plans to attend UGA in the fall majoring in Biological Sci-ence. Hallie Kate’s community service initiative is ‘Making a Doggy Difference’.
Ava Mincey of Statesboro, our Miss Crossroads of the South Teen, daughter of Anthony and Yolanda Mincey, won the first annual Jim Montgomery Scholarship Award. Her community service initiative is ‘Alzheimer’s Awareness’. Ava performed Her Story “Every squeeze for Alzheimer’s” on the importance of Alzheimer’s awareness.
Erin Dumas of Guyton, our Miss Emanuel Teen, is the daughter of Walter and Lauren Dumas. Her community service initiative is ‘Girls in the Garage’. Erin performed a high energy jazz pom dance routine to Life is a Highway.
Chyann Hoyle of Statesboro, our Miss Emanuel County, is the daughter of Stephen and Roseanna Hoyle. Her community service initiative is ‘Keep HOLD-ing On: Helping others Liv-ing with Disabilities’. Chyann performed a vocal while playing the guitar to the Beatles classic, “Come Together “.
Olivia Lott of Richmond Hill, our Miss Southeast Georgia, is the daughter of Lindsey and Da-vid Marshall. Her community service initiative is ‘Best Buddies’. She performed a Her Story about camp Blue Skies and working with Adults with Williams Syndrome.
Olivia Buckland of Kingsland, our Miss Crossroads of the South, is the daughter of Shannon and Lisa Buckland. Her community service initiative is ‘Dyslexia Awareness’. She performed “Memory” from Cats the Musical.
All these young ladies performed great and did a wonderful job representing Emanuel County and Southeast Georgia.
