Officers with the Swainsboro Police Department (SPD) reported…

June 6

Officers were dispatched to Jerome Street in reference to the complainant stating that a subject was putting his hands on an elderly male and female. Upon arrival, officers observed several individuals standing by the roadway arguing. Offenders were issued citations for disorderly conduct.

Officer was in SPD when two individuals came in to make a report about a lost or stolen tag. C/p stated that his vehicle was towed from his residence to a repair shop in Swainsboro and when he went to pick up his vehicle, he found out that his vehicle had been moved to a differ-ent site. When he went to that location, he noticed that his tag was missing.

Officer was dispatched to the area of N Coleman St and E Main St in reference to a two-vehicle collision. Offender was found to have been under the influence and was arrested for DUI.

Officer responded to Enmarket in reference to a male that was bothering the employee and would not leave the store. Offender was advised not to return to the store that evening.

June 7

Officers responded to N Main Street regarding a report of a truck that nearly struck the build-ing. Officer observed the truck with the driver inside. Offender admitted to having a few alco-holic beverages and was arrested for DUI.

June 8

Officer was dispatched to South Main Street in reference to a reported theft. C/p stated that he left his room and when he returned, his gaming system was missing. Offender was located and arrested for theft.

Officers responded to Walmart in reference to a male who was actively shoplifting. Offender was located and arrested.

Officer was assisting GSP when he observed a trooper conducting a traffic stop and actively searching a vehicle.

June 9

Officer responded to Deer Creek Drive in reference to a drowning incident. Offender was transported via EMS and regained a pulse.

Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that turned at a red light with a sign stating, “no turn on red”. It was found that the driver did not have a valid driver’s license.

Officer was dispatched to Crump Street in reference to a female resident threatening staff. Of-fender went with EMS for a mental evaluation.

Officer took a walk-in report at SPD. C/p stated that when she was working, her mother came in and her coworker was listening to her conversation with her mother. Her coworker then threatened her and when she went to clock out, the coworker grabbed her. Offender was con-tacted and she stated that she and c/p’s mother were very close friends.

Officer was dispatched to Oliphant Street in reference to a call about a possible break in. C/p stated that there was a cut on the screen door that had not been there before.

Officer responded to EMC in reference to a patient that had hit another patient and was being aggressive towards staff and security. Offender was calmed down.

June 10

SPD received a phone call from officer stating that he received a phone call from an acquaint-ance about him coming to Durden Bank because a male and female were heard arguing. The situation was resolved.

Officers were dispatched to Oliphant Street in reference to a male subject pulling a gun and firing at the caller. Offender was located and arrested.

Officer was dispatched to Swainsboro Supply in reference to c/p stating that a subject had purchased building materials and paid through fraudulent means. A warrant was taken out.

C/p came into SPD to make a report. He stated that he never received a tag he ordered in the mail.

Officer was dispatched to N Racetrack St in reference to a parking dispute. The situation was resolved.

Officer responded to Turner Dr in reference to a male subject arguing with people. Offender was told to leave the location.

Officer received a call stating that someone had “cocked a gun” in the street. Firearm was re-trieved.

Officer was positioned in the SPD parking lot when he heard a vehicle honking repeatedly. He observed an ATV being illegally operated and another vehicle. Officer performed a traffic stop. Offender was found to be under the influence and was arrested for DUI.

June 11

Officer took a report regarding a firecracker going off and victim had to go to the emergency room.

Officer took a report at SPD in reference to a break in.

Officer responded to Altamaha EMC in reference to a report of a vehicle that had been broken into and items being stolen.

Officer responded to a call regarding a child in the roadway near the intersection of Fairground Road and Longview Drive. C/p stated that she found a 2-year-old child in the middle of the road alone riding in a toy car. He had been left in the care of his brother, but the other child was asleep.

June 12

Officers were dispatched to Miller Drive in reference to a stolen U-Haul trailer.

911 dispatched officers that fire and EMS needed assistance on South Main Street. They were advised of an elderly man in respiratory distress. Right before arrival, a man answered the door and stated that he was not experiencing a medical emergency. Later, 911 advised of a home invasion at the same location. C/p advised that an unknown individual entered his house and left right before police arrival. He stated he did not make the call regarding the med-ical emergency and was placed under arrest for interference with police officers.
