The road to a restored downtown theater started in 2016 and has been one of twists and turns, roadblocks and hurricane catastrophes, but now it looks like there is a green light ahead as the project moves toward completion. DDA Director Melissa Kirby told The Blade that seats will soon be installed in the 1930s era theater along with other finishing touches. Kirby added that the search for a manager of the facility is proceeding well. After a long road, it may be that the big bumps are now behind us and first-run movies and other entertainment are coming soon.
