Mark was born December 2, 1961, in Augusta, to the late Marcus and Lillie Mae Mixon Wheeler. He was a diesel mechanic. Mark was an energetic spirit who valued centering the fo-cal point of his life to be close to his family; be it his parents, sisters, child, grandchildren and also many loved friends he gathered along on his beautiful life. He spent his time that way, and much of it, transporting back and forth in various cars and trucks he built himself, as he was a talented and determined diesel mechanic, from his parents’ beautiful home in Augusta, and also their home place in Kite, spending equal amounts in between. Mark would go many cherished places with his loved ones, stretching from Quitman and Tennessee, all the way to California. He enjoyed being anywhere and everywhere with loved ones, spending time culti-vating crops in the fields of his family’s Ponderosa, hunting, camping, particularly taking the boat and going up on water skis. Mark even had many fun moments racing go karts and cars as his father and mother cheered him with smiles on their faces. He was a huge music fan, spending time on drums, singing, and could always be found with albums, headphones and moving his body to the sounds of his favorite artists. Mark truly wanted to be surrounded by beautiful melodies at all times and always held a song in his heart. He spent many nights sing-ing gospel songs with his mother later on in life – it brought them much peace and happiness together. Mark favored holidays of course, where he could see all of his beautiful family and spend extended time, especially his grandchildren. He was truly and beautifully loved by all his family, immediate and extended.
Survivors include his daughter, Crystal Rose Wheeler; grandchildren, Aysah Lillian Wheeler, Olivia Reagan Lopez and Natalie Rose Wheeler; sisters, Kathryn Hamilton (Calvin) and their family, Leslie Wise (Tim), Jack Wise, and Logan Wise; Annette Veal (Jay) and their family, Andy Johnson, Jennifer Veal, Rachel Federman and Tommy Johnson; and numerous aunts, un-cles and other family members.
Flowers were welcomed and memorials may be made to your favorite charity in memory of Mark.
