The Brier Creek Artillery traveled to Moore, SC to participate in the 23 Revolutionary War Patriots event sponsored by the Daniel Morgan Chapter, SCSSAR on Saturday, May 10, at the Nazareth Presbyterian Church cemetery. The Presentation of Colors was commanded by Scott Collins, Vice President General South Atlantic District of the Sons of the American Revolution. Several items were on the agenda and including the Presentation of Wreaths by many organizations. Afterwards, a 3-round volley was held by a flintlock salute and the seven 6-pounder cannons as part of the Brier Creek Artillery. Taps was played and Mourn Muskets was performed. Also, as part of the Brier Creek Artillery, was Dess Smith, Don Bazemore, Ted Walker, Benjamin Martin and Alton McCloud.
