As the Summer Reading Program starts to wind down, doesn’t mean we are! Thursday, June 26, at 11 a.m. is the SRP Color Party. We will have colored powder, kiddie pools, firehose from our local Fire Department, and lunch provided by Swainsboro Kiwanis. This event will be very messy but super fun for the kids to enjoy and it’s FREE! There are no fees to the events we host, and everyone has an equal opportunity to participate. This particular event will be messy so we encourage you to pack appropriately as we will be outside and the color powder will stain clothing (for best color results, wear white). Please bring your own towel, sunscreen, change of dry clothes, and appropriate footwear – these items will not be provided. Also, color-ing pages are due June 30, and winners of those age groups will be announced soon after. Winners will be called and will be asked to come to the library to receive their prizes, along with their picture taken with said prize.
July is right around the corner, and we will host a Children’s Craft Thursday, July 3, so please call or visit us to sign up for that. Please note we will be closed Friday, July 4, in honor of In-dependence Day, so Toddler Time will not be hosted due to this closure.
The official end date for the Summer Reading Program is Saturday, July 19, therefore you still have time to reach all goals set for your age group(s). For more information, please call (478) 237-7791, or visit us at 331 West Main Street.
