June 20
Officers were dispatched to Harris St. in reference to a female reporting a male had taken her money and refused to return it. Officer observed a male and female standing in the roadway outside of a vehicle and made contact with them. Officer learned they had a prior verbal agreement regarding the sale of puppies from a dog they owned together while in a relationship. Both agreed to split the money and go their separate ways.
Officer observed a vehicle on S. Main St. with a headlight out, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Officer detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle and requested the driver’s license. Driver was issued citations.
Officer responded to a two-vehicle accident on W. Moring St. The driver of one vehicle had a suspended CDL issued out of Maine. Offender stated he was aware that his CDLs was suspended by believed he possessed a valid non-CDL, but EmCo 911 was unable to verify any valid license for offender. During further investigation, officer discovered offender held a driver’s license issued out of Alabama, which was suspended, and was unable to verify any valid license in any state. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Officers were dispatched to Tim’s Snack Shack on Gumlog Rd. in reference to a possible break-in. Officer observed a female standing near the roadway with several other females who advised she had been involved in a verbal altercation with a male and left the residence. Officer conducted a check of the premises and reported that it appeared to be secure with no visible signs of forced entry or tampering.
Officer spoke with complainant who stated her wallet was missing.
June 21
Officers were dispatched to Lambs Bridge Rd. in reference to an ungovernable child. Complainant stated during her weekly visit with her child, they had an argument, and her child became upset and ran through WalMart parking lot and began jumping in front of moving vehicles.
Officer was dispatched to Prosperity Dr. in reference to an unruly child. Officer was informed that the juvenile child contacted 911 and reported her stepfather struck her. The stepfather stated he and his ex-wife have been experiencing ongoing behavioral issues with the child, and she has recently been rebellious. Upon observation, there were no visible or apparent marks on the juvenile consisting with having been struck.
June 22
Officers were dispatched to W. MLK Blvd. in reference to caller’s boyfriend being irate and breaking things in the home. Offender had already left the scene and was observed on McLeod Bridge Rd. Officer approached the male and observed him bleeding and stated the other party had been drinking all day and became irate and when he was trying to leave, she cut him with a knife but refused EMS. It was determined that offender’s hand was slammed in the doorway after the other party was slammed to the ground by offender. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer was dispatched to W. MLK Jr. Blvd. in reference to someone running up on complainant’s porch, taking her phone and running away.
Officers were dispatched to Lucky ST. in reference to a domestic disturbance involving a weapon. Upon arrival, officers observed a female who stated she observed the incident. A vehicle approached and the female began yelling that the male inside it was the individual with a weapon. Officers then approached the vehicle, and the driver exited and was instructed to show his hands. Officer the, proceeded to the passenger side of the vehicle to get the other female’s side of the story. She stated she went to the residence to retrieve her car, and her father and offender became involved in an argument. She also advised that she and offender got into a physical altercation earlier in the morning and she had cuts and marks on her arms.
Officers were dispatched to Deluxe Inn in reference to complainant stating his girlfriend was hitting him. Officer heard a female raising her voice at a male subject inside the room and approached the door. C/p stated he wanted to separate from offender. Offender was visibly upset and stated offender struck her in the back of the head.
Officer was dispatched to N. Anderson Dr. in reference to fraudulent activity.
June 23
Officer was dispatched to Enmarket in reference to a hit and run.
Officer was dispatched to WalMart in reference to a shoplifter. Offenders stole items totaling $598.
Officer responded to Lee St. in reference to a 911 hang-up call. The call was in reference to an argument between male and female. Female was transported to EmCo Jail.
June 25
Officer was dispatched to Waffle King in reference to an irate customer. Offender refused to calm down despite multiple attempts by officers. Offender was criminally trespassed from the premises.
Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated she had a blow out on Meadowlake Rd. as a result of a hump in the roadway.
June 26
Officer observed a vehicle with no headlights on, at which time she initiated a traffic stop. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Officers responded to Project St. in reference to complainant stated a female was walking behind her apartment with a beer yelling and cussing at people.
Officers responded to Flanders St. in reference to damage to a vehicle.
