July is finally here! We will host a Children’s Craft Thursday, July 3, at 10:30 a.m. and we will be closed Friday, July 4, in honor of Independence Day. We will reopen Saturday, July 5, at 8 a.m. and will host Veterans Breakfast Monday, July 7, at 9:15 a.m. We have our Genealogy Club meeting on Wednesday, July 9, at 11 a.m. and will be hosting Christmas in July on Thursday, July 10, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Christmas in July will be a celebration of the Christmas spirit in the middle of summer. We will have crafts for all ages, games, and a fun photo booth for picture taking. We will also have popcorn, cotton candy, and lemonade for refreshments and encourage you to check out books to read as our SRP is still ongoing. The end of the SRP will be Saturday, July 19, but we encourage everyone to continue reading. Another opportunity to continue reading will be Friday, July 11, at 10:30 a.m. with special guests and local author Lacey Henneman and illustrator Kayla Jeffcoat. Their book “The Adventures of Tiggy: A Trip to the Bahamas” will be showcased and read at Toddler Time. There will be availability to speak with both the author and illustrator afterwards. Be sure to watch us on Facebook Live every Friday where we give the most up-to-date information regarding the library and our upcoming events. If you would like more information about our upcoming events, please call or visit us at (478) 237-7791 or 331 West Main Street, Swainsboro.
