Hattaway speaks to Veterans

The Veterans at the Library held their weekly meeting at the Franklin Memorial Library Monday morning, August 4, at 9 a.m. With Chair Johnny Tapley presiding, they had 38 in attendance. Sharri Watt provided a great breakfast of sausage biscuits with jelly, grits and fresh cut watermelon, orange juice, cranberry juice, grape juice, apple juice and coffee. Chair Johnny Tapley introduced Scotty Hattaway who talked about the Emanuel County Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Hattaway is the five-county area Representative. Their mission is to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and his church. Their core values state that our relationships will demonstrate steadfast commitment to Jesus Christ and his word through integrity, serving, teamwork and excellence. After his program, the Veterans at the Library presented Hattaway a check for $500.00 to support the FCA program. The Veterans at the Library used the money that they made from the 2nd Annual Veterans Cup Golf Tournament held on May 17, 2025.
