The Veterans at the Library held a Low Country Boil in preparation of their annual Wreaths Across America project using money they made from their Annual Veterans Cup Golf Tournament July 31 at the Emanuel County Baptist Association building. With Chair Johnny Tapley presiding, they had 63 in attendance. Several veterans got together and prepared the meal of shrimp, sausage, corn on the cob, onions, potatoes and all kinds of desserts, plus orange juice, tea and coffee. Chair Johnny thanked everyone for what they had accomplished this past year and that he was really looking forward to a successful year coming up. Veteran Lige Moore brought several of his band members and they played outstanding music while everyone enjoyed the meal.
