Ruby L. Hill Williams, age 82, departed this life Monday, July 28, 2025, at her residence. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, August 16, at 11 a.m. at Mosley’s Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Delmus Mosley presiding.

Ruby was born November 3, 1942, in Bartow, to the late Adell Curtis Hill and Dave May. She was a homemaker and helped care for many children in Summertown and was known by all as ‘Ms. Ruby’. Ruby was a member of Forts Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Williams is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Solomon Williams; brother, Louis Henry Hill; sisters, Johnnie Dell Hill, Annie Mae Randall and Lillie Ruth Gilmore; son-in-law, Jerry Smith.

Mrs. Williams is survived by two daughters, Jeanette Hill (Matthew Givens) of Norristown and Angelia Smith of Augusta; brother, Jackie Lee Hill of Swainsboro; sister, Mary Lynn Martin of Millville, NJ; grandchildren, Christoper A. McNear of Mt. Vernon, Lynwood McNEar, Jr. of Fairfax, VA, Kendra Caresse Hill and Dominique Nicole Smith, both of Augusta; six great-grandchildren; two special cousins she called her brother and sister, M.C. Knight and Anna Bell McCCloud, both of Lyons; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
