Allen Leroy Jackson, age 83, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, in the presence of his loving daughter. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 30, at 3 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Brad Boatright officiating. Family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Hardee’s Coffee Crew from Swainsboro.

Allen was born September 11, 1941, in Fayetteville, NC, to the late E.L. and Hilda Jackson. He served his country in the United States Army, joining when he was only seventeen years old and serving for nearly fifteen years. After Allen’s enlistment, he was the maintenance man at the First Baptist Church of Swainsboro for many years. He had many hobbies and passions and loved tinkering and fixing things. If Allen wasn’t working, he would be found antiquing or stopping by yard sales, at the former Hardee’s, or Waffle King enjoying coffee and fellowship, or simply relaxing at home with his cat, Sister, feeding and watching the birds and squirrels that would frequent his yard. Allen’s home was full of his collection of eagles and patriotic memorabilia, and he always had an American flag waving proudly in his front yard. Mr. Jackson is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Camilla Iris Braswell; and a brother, Teddy Ardon Jackson.

Mr. Jackson is survived by his children and their spouses, Dawn (Jason) Wingate of Vidalia, Jacqueline (Nate) Jackson of Columbus, Lee Ta (Babygirl) Jackson of Alabama and Angela Crooms; grandchildren, Cammy Jo Blair Jackson, Shaina Amanda Edwards, Cheyenne Summerlin, Rowdy James Brown, Adrianna Louise Minton and Erin Paige Coleman; beloved great-grandchildren, Alayna Daycie Alvrarado, Mylei Jo Bennett Collins, Shelby Parker Edwards, Issac Lee Edwards, Rainah Jolene Summerlin and William Greyson Summerlin; and several nieces and nephews.

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro is in charge of arrangements.
