The Skunk Brigade traveled to Eutawville, SC, Saturday, August 30, to attend the 244th Anniversary Battle of Eutaw Springs event. All Compatriots had an awesome day celebrating the battle. Thank you, Past South Carolina SAR President Ted Walker, for inviting us to participate in this historic battle. The Skunk Brigade not only brought their flintlock Pennsylvania/Kentucky 50 cal. rifles, Brown Bess 75 cal. muskets and Charleville 69 cal. muskets, but five of their six-pounder cannons. They fired each three times to honor those brave patriots that fought during the Revolutionary War for our freedoms that we have today. Attending were Commander Steve Burke, Lee Herron, Don Bazemore, Dess Smith III, Alton McCloud and Ted Walker (SC). HUZZAH!!!
