Mr. Roy Hadden entered into peaceful rest on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at his home in Brunswick. Visitation was held Saturday, October 4, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Durden Hudson Funeral Directors.

Roy was born May 9, 1944, to the late Edd Hadden and Rosa Lee Bennett in Herndon. He was a lifelong resident of Emanuel County. Roy was a retired iron worker. He was known to family and friends to be able to build or fix anything he set his mind to and he enjoyed the challenge. Roy also enjoyed gardening and fishing, especially at the Ogeechee River.

Mr. Hadden is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Hopkins-Hadden; sisters, Ora Lee Bennett Odom, Julia Bennett Goatly and Martha “Polly” Hadden Wilcher; and brother, Andrew Bennett.

Survivors include his son, Keith (Julie) Hopkins of Brunswick; grandchildren, Austin (Brittany) Saathoff of Blue Springs, MO, Ryan (Robyn) Brown of Augusta, Steven Brown of Germany, Johnwayne Felix of Kansas City, KS and Kate-Lynn Brown of Germany; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Durden Hudson Funeral Directors was in charge of arrangements.
