Mrs. Priscilla Ethel Nesbit, age 100, of Swainsboro, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Emanuel Medical Nursing Home. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Priscilla was born February 12, 1925, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late John Albert Szarko and Priscilla Szoke Szarko. She lived through 11 decades witnessing all the changes that 100 years brought. Priscilla loved music of any kind, but Jazz was her favorite. From Ohio to Florida (twice), Louisiana, Maryland and Georgia, she left her memory embedded on so many hearts of anyone who knew and loved her. At the Nursing Home for 2-1/2 years, Priscilla had her own loving ministry. She will be especially missed by her loving family. Mrs. Nesbit is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Nesbit; sons, John Stepp, Sr., Steve Stepp and Matthew Nesbit; and great-grandson, Dustin Wilson.

Mrs. Nesbit is survived by her son, Roy Nesbit (Joy) of Lacombe, LA; daughter, Roberta Pignanelli (David) of Millersville, MD; daughter-in-law, Nancy Stepp of Swainsboro; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Psalm 55:6 ~ Oh that I had wings like a dove. I would fly away and be at rest. Behold I would wonder far away. I would lodge in the wilderness. I would hasten to my place of refuge. From the stormy wind and tempest. In the twinkling of an eye. We will be changed. We will meet You in the sky Almighty. All the heavens and the earth will sing Your praise. And Your people will rejoice Almighty.

Chapman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
