The Brier Creek Chapter held its monthly meeting Thursday night, December 4, at Compatriot John Fitzner’s Brier Creek Clubhouse at 6 p.m. With President Lee Herron presiding, they had 30 in attendance. This was their annual Christmas banquet, and the awarding of their 6th SGT John R McKinney Brier Creek Chapter Distinguished Service Medal. No other approval is needed. A compatriot may receive this medal only once. No oak leaf clusters are authorized. This year’s recipient is Adam Bazemore.
President Lee also presented Owen McDaniel with his NSSAR Military Service Veterans Corps Certificate, then inducted Dan Hagan into the Brier Creek Chapter.
